This nickel plated brass paan box is in the shape of a 1954 Chevrolet and was most likely a wedding favor.
The car was originally intended to hold the various ingredients used in a betel nut mixture. The lid lifts to reveal a compartment, where the ingredients would have been stored.
The rear of the car is engraved with: Betel Motor Car, Open & Close Type, Patent No. 75086. Dated 18/8/54.
